**Before starting the generator set, check the following:**
- Ensure the fuel tank has sufficient oil and that there are no oil leaks in any fuel pipes or connections.
- Verify the cooling system has adequate, clean water with no leaks, and adjust the fan belt tension to an appropriate level.
- Confirm the connection between the internal combustion engine and the generator transmission is secure, the insulation
of the output line wires is intact, and all instruments are complete and functional.
After starting the generator, let it run at low speed for 3 to 5 minutes. Only begin operations when the temperature and oil
pressure stabilize within normal ranges. During acceleration, the generator should operate without abnormal noises,
and the brushes on the slip rings and commutators should maintain proper contact without bouncing or sparking.
Once the operation stabilizes and the frequency and voltage reach their rated values, power can be supplied externally.
If abnormal noises, odors, a sharp rise in water temperature, or a sharp drop in oil pressure occur during engine operation,
immediately shut down the generator, inspect, and resolve the issue. The generator's power factor must not exceed 0.95 lagging,
and frequency variations must remain within ±0.5 Hz.
Before shutting down, first disconnect the main switches of all power supply branches, gradually reduce the load,
then disconnect the generator's main power supply switch. Reset the excitation rheostat to its maximum resistance position to
lower the voltage to its minimum value. Subsequently, turn off the excitation switch and the neutral point grounding switch. Finally,
stop the internal combustion engine.
